please identify so i can take cuttings

hello...thanks for reading.
can someone identify this uk. palm.?
id like to take cuttings.... well actually i have taken cuttings of the leaves...and put them in a container of water.
see the attached... i was watching utube .. it suggested i do this method.
will it work.
apologies for being so inexperienced...i will improve...touch wood.

The first plant is a Yucca and can be propagated by stem cuttings— in soil not in water. The second plant is a Phormium tenax and can be propagated by dividing the clump. Neither one will grow from cut leaves, throw those away they won’t grow.

@free trees I think you should be very careful about messing with any plants in public parks. This could and probably is seen as theft, and could get you into a lot of trouble.
It would be a better idea to talk to gardening neighbours or join a gardening club of some kind where you will more than likely find like minded people who will not only give you advice, but cuttings and seeds as well.
