I planted two of these grevillea lanigera cultivars today. The nursery has given them each a small support stake. Grevillea lanigera is a prostate species of grevillea, so it is supposed to spread outwards, but should I give it any extra support in a longer stake as it grows?
(First time grevillea gardener here. I am wondering if the plant will even survive because of La Nina keeping it too wet, but that's out of my control)

It was probably staked to show the flowers better so it would sell faster, or to keep it stable in the container. There's no need to put another one on it. Leave that one on until the flowers fade, then remove it.
