Just bought this plant and had to look it up online to see what it was since it didn't have a card with it telling me anything about it. It just looked cool and was cheap so I bought it. Does anyone have Chenille goring in their gardens and if so how big is it and how well does it do?

I am trying to decide where to plant it in my yard. I live in South Carolina.

I had one years ago. I had mine in a hanging basket on my front porch. It got full sun and attracted humming birds. Mine got really bushy and full. I think they would do better in a hanging basket as opposed to planting in the ground. They are beautiful plants.

I was thinking that might be a nice plant for hanging outside on my porch but when I looked it up it said only hardy in zones 10 -12 and can't take any cold or frost so I guess that's out cuz I don't need any more houseplants to bring inside for the winter.

Thats odd because i bought one here a couple of years ago in a hanging basket and it said it was an annual and put the basket at the end of season out by my shed and by spring I had lots of sprouts of it coming all over .I saw that the seeds were in the little fuzzy part and had dropped off and sprouted everywhere

Aha I bet it just started again from the seeds. The plant itself is prolly not hardy but since it reseeds itself then that would be kinda neat to try in a basket but then if any dropped down below I might have thousands of those plants coming up all over the place and that might not be fun!

Hmmmmmmmmm, boy it would seem they should come up this year as you had a pretty mild winter.

I looked out there yesterday and nothing and if they don't come up guess i will plant something new .Maybe all the heavy rains we got buried the seeds in dirt this year too deep .I do get a lot of dirt washed into that area .

It only cost me $1. I planted it near my pond and will see how it grows.

I hope it grows for you there Nova as it would look pretty there and even if it only lasts for the summer it was a good deal!
