I made a thread about grafting and under the title it says "Awaiting approval before being displayed publicly." Is this a measure taken to prevent new members from posting inappropriate content?

Creating accounts for spam actually. A common defensive tactic these days.

Welcome to the forums .

If a thread from a brand new member contains a link or the spam-filters trigger, the post is held back until a moderator or admin approves it - this means we catch 99% of spam, but does mean that occasionally a new member has to wait a couple of hours before their post appears. I've just approved your new thread now. Welcome aboard!
