Aquaponics

Hey,
I was reading about aquaponics for the last couple of days and it sounds pretty cool! Has anyone tried it? What was your experience?

Our only foray into this was my wife's Betta aquarium that grows micro greens in the top. Seems to work well but it's not something I would want to try on a larger scale. Seems like a lot of work.
