What are these yellow spots on Pepper leaves?

Any idea what this California Wonder Pepper is suffering from? Yellowing on leaves gradually occurred over the last 7-10 days.

Unfortunately it looks a lot like Alfalfa Mosaic Virus. Did you ever have aphids or thrips on the plant?

I don't think I saw either. But aphids were definitely on a nearly hibiscus (no longer). Assuming your diagnosis is correct, is there a cure?

Hope I am wrong but there is no cure and it can stay in the soil for years. I would get a local opinion from a knowledgeable source such as someone from a real nursery.
