We planted a large weeping willow two years ago. It has done well, but we have been worried about removing the large bamboo stake that supports the trunk. The bands are getting tight, so we will need to either remove or replace them. At what point do you think the willow would be able to support itself? It is around 10-12 feet tall, but the trunk is still quite thin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It is great for use as a focal point and in areas that are moist. They love water, so do not plant them near sewer or water lines, or there may be problems. It grows best in moist soil that is well-draining. It is salt tolerant, and tolerant of a wide variety of soils and pHs.
