Hi,

My palm has been growing amazingly over the past two years but lately I’ve started to notice this happening to some of the new stems? Is it to do with fertilisation?

That is the inflorescence (flower stalk) of a Chamaedorea palm, probably Chamaedorea elegans. It is a normal and healthy development.
