Flowers by the Ushiku Daibutsu

I was going to go to an iris festival this weekend but ran out of time - instead we went to this closer attraction and there were still beautiful flowers!

This is the Ushiku Daibutsu which is in Ibaraki prefecture. Hope you enjoy the picture!

Thank you!! It was so beautiful in person. The statue you see there is 120 meters tall so that was quite impressive too. It was a nice tranquil spot to spend some time enjoying the surroundings!

Thank you so much - that's so nice of you to say! The festival runs for a couple more weekends so hopefully I can go on one of those weekends to see the irises! You know I'll be taking pictures if I do! :)
