Been using Tap Water PH 6.5 but has Chlorine.

Oh you don't want to use that. Then look on the Internet and their saying that it doesn't have enough to hurt as matter fact might help giving plants more Chlorophyll.

Was thinking of using Rain Water but if the Tap Water is ok why?

There can be other things dissolved in tap water, look at the inside of the kettle if you live in a hard water area, but for me it is mostly because the water company puts us on a meter, but rain is free.

I was reading more there isn't that much Chlorine in the water but over time it builds up and makes too much on potted plants.

So thinking of collecting rain water for the garden and see about using it in the house.

Did this at the farm.

6.5 sounds low for treated water. Mine is 7.2. Rainwater is probably better BUT it's a whole lot more trouble, especially if you want to put it on a timer with a pump. I use both.
