Most people sidestep or are even ignorant of biological control mechanisms despite the fact that they are dirt cheap and create a sustainable ecosystem in the garden. For instance, I took solace in the prescence of garden toads in my butternut garden to control insect pests. It can devour up to 1,000 insects per day. Anyone using biological control methods here?

It is too hot for toads and frogs in my garden but I do have a bunch of lizards and they do a great job. I also have two pair of flycatchers who are even better than the lizards at catching bugs and caterpillars.
