I got this plant at Lowe’s. It didn’t have a name on it can anyone help me?

@cpp gardener, I understood that although the Aptenia (which we usually call Mesembryanthemum cordifolia in the UK) has opposite leaves mostly, it also sometimes has alternate leaves near the inflorescences. It is a useful succulent in Australia and can cover a shady bank really well.

Just below the flowers, but not along the main stem. Also the base of the leaves are heart-shaped, hence cordifolia. It does grow like mad, as long as it gets SOME water. It's a little to dry here for it to go non-irrigated.

It doesn't do so well in the frost here, and so I don't bother with it these days. All my plants now have to be tough as old boots - rather tougher than me since the recent vaccine complications :eek:
