Berry Identification?

Trying to find out what type of berries these are? They grow wild by the mountain side here in Broome County, NY or Upstate NY.

Welcome James. They are Blackberries.

Thank You Sheal. I figured as much because they are similar to the ones growing next to the garden in our yard but they are much bigger and pretty bitter compared to the ones on our property.

It may be that one is a cultivated variety, the other wild. You could make yourself a blackberry and apple pie with them.

I would like to try to make some jam with them but the birds and maybe deer get them so fast. Next year though I will indeed try again.
