Wood Ash?

Son got hold of me.

Dad you've always had a great garden until you got Electricity.

When we lived in this one place you had Raised Beds getting cleanings from Seed Plant for Compost. Planted garden in mostly Compost and did well.

The Farm you had a huge garden put Wood Ash on it and did well.

Now you have Internet and can't decide what to do.

My first proper girlfriend was from British Guiana, she said where she grew up in a small village they used wood ash to wash pans. It woks well, alkaline and slightly abrasive.
Hey, Rockpile, you are supposed to let the fire go out first.

Throwed Cast Iron in the fire many times.
