New trees still dormant?

Last year around the end of November I got a red maple, a bald leaf cypress and a eastern hemlock from the arbor day society. Now it is the May and the growing season and non of these trees have reacted. The are all alive but not growing.

Are they showing any signs of buds at all? If not have you been having a lot of unusually cool temps

I have seen no buds and our weather is average in the 70's and the 80's

Were these bare root trees or potted?
