Sorry folks I cannot find a soil forum. I want to ask about the best way to neuter proprionic acid as in comes in some incredibly inexpensive but cra-crazy high brix molasses aimed at killing deer. Rest assured, a wild deer has to be taught to eat molasses, unless it is starving. I feed 10-15 regularly. I have heard adding baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate, into a water diluted lawn allocation of this molasses is one way to travel. It takes rain to wash away these salts though. Any ideas?

Back to the topic, I am also wondering if potassium bicarbonate might serve the same neutralize effect on proprionic acid and have a better residue for the soil since it should have some K left over?
