Hi all

I bought a house plant which was labelled as Calathea a few months ago and it was doing fine. I recently moved house and therefore moved the plant’s position and it’s started dying!

The plant is floppy, the leaves are dry and shrivelled. Some stems have dried up completely.

I’ve googled it and I’m not even sure mine is a Calathea as it doesn’t look like the photos. But, I worked out that it was probably dehydrated, and in a draft. I’ve moved it into the bathroom so it’s more humid, away from windows and I’m ensuring it’s kept moist.

I’ve not seen an improvement yet, so 1. Can I be doing anything different to help it, and can it be saved? and 2. Is this actually a Calathea?

Thanks all!

Hello Georgia, welcome to the forum.
If I were you I would buy a nice new plant and start again. The other, common name for Calathea is ''prayer plant'' but quite honestly I don`t even think that would help ....sorry.
