Hi, y'all, I recently moved here to coastal GA and was just going to introduce myself. I mostly grow potted herbs (we rent and plan to do so for some time!) because potted herbs are kind of fancy weeds and I can't kill them.
However, I did have a little spring "wildflower" bed (with poppies, a gerbera daisy, and two kinds of marigolds) and I'm starting to have more success with keeping things alive and growing!
I'm mostly interested in container gardening. I was able to transplant some small banana trees into some very large pots and they have not died of shock! I'm going to put them in my front yard with some potted orange/red cannas nearby, and maybe by late summer it'll look like a tropical paradise!
I've been reading about growing food in containers, but I'm not sure I'm that ambitious yet. Have a great day!
