I hope it will survive rats, mole, rabbits, groundhog, squirrel and deerIt is adorable and looking very healthy
For now, one was attack by some sort of fungus from underneath. 4 big ones left and doing well, I reaise them from soil to pretect from moisture. However for some reason, the canteloupes are now bigger than the watermelon even though the watermelon had one month of head start.. Weird..I hope it will survive. I have never grown a watermelon before.
My biggest cantaloupe disappeared of the vine last night. It had finally gotten to a size where I thought it wouldn't die. I think it was a rat. I have chickens so they can sometimes be a problem. That or one of my kids picked it.
