Would adding worms to my Garden help it or just go with what is there.

I know with organic matter and moisture my Garden already has Worms.

You Don't need to add worms. Add and keep adding what they require to eat and they will reproduce all by themselves.

Didn't you just say you was in a 3 year drought? Worms will not stay in a dry spot. It has to be moist or they will dry up and die no matter what kind of organic material is there.

Are you serious? Your keeping it watered with what? This city water that someone claimed is crap that you question that you've been watering with for 3 years (cause of your drought) that still has worms that only live in good soil? o_O

And this is one reason my Harvest is crap and the worms I'm raising left.

Got to do something different. Going to let my water set because mainly the Chlorine and bring the PH down and fertilize more.

Last good rain we got I got 2 gallons of water. Used it on my Worms.

If you add worms they'll probably just die like the last ones unless something changes. You have to work with what you have. Yes tap water isn't as good as rainwater but people everywhere use it and it works for them. There are all kinds of ways to treat the water but do you really need to do that? I use rain water when I can and tap water when I can't.

Well today I added some more bedding to my worm bin which was one thing they like I've been using what little rain water I have.

I watered today and it was Tap Water that had been setting for days. I adjusted the PH.

Filled my Barrel again and checked PH which was 6.4 figured this is doable.

Thinking of setting up a Rain Water system with Soaker Hose for my garden.

I'm also thinking cold water is bad.

I was just reading about Snow I've always thought it brought more water that soaks in but was also reading it is full of Nitrogen.

Got Rabbits and Chickens which makes very good Composted Manuer.

I messed up on my Worms using too much Compost because that is what on dealer said he was using. I found they need plenty of oxygen which Shredded Cardboard gives. My European Nightcrawlers are Happy! Happy! Plus I'm now keeping them inside more of a stable temperature.

Might also add the guy that I buy Worms off of is getting into African Nightcrawlers thinking they are better than Red Wigglers and they get 7-9 inches long so they will make a good Fishing Worm.

Thinking of getting into Bees this Spring.

Soaker hose may not work for rain water unless you use a pump to create pressure.

I've been following your threads for a while and it looks like you're going down the same road that I did trying to do everything you see on YouTube. For me it was all interesting but took me in too many directions and I've been backing off a lot of what I was doing. I started with aquaponics then hydroponics, worms, raised beds, wicking beds, Back to Eden. The list goes on. I have tried to back off on things that take a lot of time and labor like composting and firewood. I really like the wicking beds because I feel I have total control.

I hadn't reckoned that much pressure, that would mean raising it something like 11 or 12 feet. I suppose it would be possible with a two storey house, but they are heavy full, it would take a lot of supporting.
