Peace perfect peace

Greetings,
I was surprised to read that some of the old ways of lining those hanging baskets etc are no longer available, Moss being one and the materials on offer to replace the likes of Moss can work out costly,

Two "Tips" for you to think about, Both tried and tested manytimes,
(1) The good old used and ready for the rag bag "WOOLEN SWEATER" These make excellent hanging basket liners, not only do they look good but can have hole's cut into them for side planting, they last and when the season's over your in pocket and all from what you we're going to chuck away anyway.

(2) Leyandii leaves,
Use the full leave and layer the bottom of the basket, continue to lay the leaves all the way around the complete inside of the basket, Once again black compost bage cut to size and hole's pricked into the plastic to aid drainage,
This method works but after a few months these leaves do turn brownish but the flowers in the basket off set this small draw back.
