I am in zone 6 and have a young crabapple tree that has turned brown on the center leaves. It was dry for the end of spring, early summer, so I'm hoping it is from that. Does this look like a disease or some other harmful issue?

Welcome to the forum!

I have a crabapple tree too. Never had that happen but looking at the green leaf, it appears to have a spot on it so maybe something is consumjng your foliage.

Anyone else here know what that is?

Welcome Tucker. :)

If you can't see any pests on the leaves (check both sides) then there's the possibility it could be blight. Keep a careful eye on it over the coming days and next couple of weeks, if it gets any worse then I suggest you cut out the diseased branches. Destroy any fallen leaves or put them in your waste but don't compost them as they are likely to re-infect.

The green leaf in the center appears to have spots on it. If so you more than likely have some type of fungus attacking it.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone have any suggestions for treating the fungus, or what it may be? The trunk has spots on it as well they're yellowish all the way to the tips.
