I found a lot of white eggs in backyard soil. The shape is like long rice but much smaller. I hope those are Black soldier fly’s eggs. If not, what are those? Good or bad?

If those are good bugs, how can I protect them? I collected them to a plastic box with soil. Should I put them back to the soil? The raining season is here. Thanks.

Do you have any kind of squirrels in your neighborhood? These little eggs look like squirrel bot eggs. They are in Texas but I didn't think they were in Calif yet. They are not soldier fly eggs but I have no idea what they really are. Save some in a jar of dirt and see what happens.

Very few squirrels, I can see one every 2-3 month maybe. I saw some swaps flew around. Maybe those eggs were from those wasps?

Parasitic wasp eggs do look like grains of rice but they are only found on a host insect or caterpillar, never in the soil.

Those looks like BSF eggs. I did see some black BSF larvae crawling around a few days ago.
