Whats wrong with my hedge? Sections dying

Hi,
We moved into our house about 12 months ago and sections of our hedges are dying. Does anyone know what might be causing it and how we prevent further damage?

Has anyone used a "weed and feed" fertilizer in the vicinity recently? Herbicide spray drift?
