It's ok I can figure I'll have a spell with runs. 10AM.

I have a Valve to control my Peeing for the most part but they messed my Bladder up so if I don't get up I wet the Bed.

We got good metal chairs that work well.

Had a nice Recliner and I messed up the Arms on it. Now I have a Lift Chair.

It’s been really useful. I’m definitely thinking metal now, with washable cushions I can store indoors. I like the idea of having stuff you can just bring out when needed. It will definitely save a lot of hassle in the long run.

Anyone got a good recommendation for a cover that actually lasts longer than one winter?

Cover? Yes actually. Much like the UK, we too have wet weather. Same grow zones basically even though we are Southeast USA. What we get is a bit more radiation, like uv light, which only serves to deplete plastics as well as the oxidation from water. And mold. 80 degree moist night helps that problem worsen.

So in the spirit of renewal I offer the waxed or siliconized sheet ot tarp or canvas of your choice. They can be waxed with a variety of store bought waterproofers or you can make your own. The RTV tube of clear silicone dissolved in Naptha is a classic waterproofer. Silicone being an element is impervious to uv light as well, though some of the other components suffer the man made bonds that fail in the same light. The oilskin of the sea faring folks or the Cowboy, same thing, usually beeswax and paraffin. Carnauba is a very hard wax if you need it, but flexibility is important especially in colder weather.

Go for synthetic rattan not natural, it holds up far better outdoors. Frame should be powder coated steel or aluminium. Check that chains and fixings are stainless steel or galvanised. Cushions should be Olefin or Sunbrella fabric with drainage holes and removable covers. Just as investing in quality Tv Beds means thinking about build quality and long term value, the same thinking applies when choosing outdoor furniture built to last through British weather. Bring them inside when not in use. Maze Rattan and Kettler are worth looking at for UK conditions. Always buy a waterproof cover alongside it.

All the above are good suggestions. Do not buy steamer chairs as the require oiling and for some reason attracts wasps that sit on them doing whatever wasps do.

From my experience, the easiest outdoor furniture to maintain is usually resin/wicker (synthetic rattan), aluminium, or treated plastic. Aluminium frames don’t rust, and synthetic materials are great because you can just wipe them down without worrying too much about weather damage. Hardwood looks beautiful but definitely needs more upkeep like oiling. I’ve also found that browsing options on vidaXL helps because they tend to have a lot of low-maintenance sets that are designed specifically for year-round outdoor use, which saves a lot of hassle in the long run.
