Morning everyone

could someone please help on identifying these please?
They are on a bush, there is hundreds off them
I’m not worried about the bush
It’s my plants I’m more concerned about
As there is a half moon shape dug out by the bush filled with plants

Jane, I`ve had the same problem!! The shrub is Euonymus. The problem is scale insect. You need to cut the shrub down to the ground, just leaving a stub (leave the root in) Put the whole lot carefully on the bonfire and burn it. Clean the soil up around the area. Your other plants should be absolutely fine.
Your shrub will grow back, although it will take some time to get big. Watch out for this on all similar shrubs around the garden, as the sooner you deal with it the better.

Did you burn it? It might be a neighbourly thing to do if you have a chat with them to let them know about it.

Yes he did……it just seems to be the hydrangea that was near our hedge.
Even though they wasn’t right next to each other
