What is wrong with my Mums artificial grass?

Now my Dad has died I am looking after Mums 2 gardens. I am a novice gardener. The front garden has artificial grass. The back garden has natural grass.



Can anybody tell me what is coming through the artificial grass and what I need to buy to get rid of it?

It’s a moss. You should be able to find a moss control at a nursery.

Yes, it's moss. The only problem I see is that moss treatments I have used have turned the moss black, no problem on grass, I just raked it out, but I am not sure with artificial grass. You could just leave it, it will never grow tall and it is green, and very soft underfoot.

You could apply moss killer and when it's dead, sweep then vacuum it.
