What is this Grass

Just moved and we went to work on the lawn. Killed the weeds then we de thatched,watered, fertilized and spread grass seed. Then this appeared what is it exactly.

Looks like you woke up the crabgrass.

Thanks any thoughts on how I can get rid of it.

Not much you can do right now. In the early fall I would lay down a good dose of pre-emergent, followed with another application in the early spring before it has a chance to set seed. As the ground warms (mid June?) it will be time to add fertilizer. Purchase one with a crabgrass preventer in it, which should knock out most of it. Follow up during the season with selectively spot weeding with either chemicals or simply pulling it out by hand.

looks like green grass to me better than brown grass that can be seen all over Britain ...........edit on a serious note it say regular cutting by mower would deal with it

What you want to know is which grass you have that you want to save. Many herbicides kill crab grass. But some kill fescue while others to not. Also, what other weeds have you?
