What have I bought?

Hi all

I walked Past a florist and they had a face pot which I thought was quite cool so I bought it and the lady repotted the plant directly into it as the pot the plant was in was a bit too small.

2 questions if that ok.
1. What have a bought? I know it’s a succulent bit anyone know the name.
2. As it’s directly in the pot and not in a seperate pot with drainage holes should I just water it a lot less?

Ps you know there is an addiction when you start buying the pot the a plant to go in it. Just thought it looked quite funky.

It looks like a alo vera I would put it in a separate pot so it has good drainage.
