What fruit tree is this?!

Hi all, we have recently moved home and there is a fruit tree in the garden, but we cant work out what type of tree it is!

Hello, and welcome to the Forum.

This is some type of Plum (Prunus spp.), it particularly reminds me of a Damson Plum (Prunus domestica ssp. insititia).
The brown patching on the fruit is called russeting and can be caused by cultural or fungal issues.
