Yesterday I pulled weeds from the rocks around my two Hollywood junioers that are on the 2 sides of my driveway. Now the entrance looks much nicer. Now my fingernails are shorter.

Watered the polyanthus around the path and watered the blueberries in pots and the pots in the front and deadheaded the tulips.

Harvested the red onion crop today. A windstorm came through and broke all the tops down. When that happens, they don't grow anymore and tend to die off.

These will dry in full sun for a couple of days and then processed and put in storage.

That’s odd my gardening magazine in the U.K. tells you to bend the stems down so they are lying on the ground to put more energy into growing the onion instead of the greenery.

What's odd @Sluggy is a gardening magazine recommending bending the stems to the ground before the onion is fully mature. That stops the growing process and signals the onion to begin hardening the bulb and developing protective skin...all necessary for long term storage.

It occurs naturally when the onion is fully mature or sometimes like in the case of my red onions when a windstorm takes them down. However, when the wind does it, the onion was about ready to do it themselves anyway in my experience.

I left my reds in the ground for a couple of weeks after the tops falling in order to enable them to harden the bulb and grow the protective skins.

Mulched my Banana Trees and Cannas.

Was cleaning out under the Rabbit Hutches on the Rabbits I bought. Noticed one had Ear Mites.

My wife came home and was helping me Doctor it. Told her we might as well check sex.

Great 3 Bucks and 1 Doe. So need to get couple more Does and get rid of Bucks but still have plenty for Compost Bin.

Watered some in the Greenhouse and fed some plants.

Planted some Marigolds and Borage.

Took Ferns out of Greenhouse. Went by one pot noticed Marigolds coming up so I watered them.

Fed bunch of plants in the Greenhouse.

Traded some Leaf Lettuce and some Green Onions. Got to get some Green Onions for my Girlfriend, ah she makes me Sweet Potato Pie.

Our elderly neighbour started employing a gardener last year who comes with a big petrol leaf blower and uses it to blow out all the rubbish from her borders and sees no problem blowing it through this gap:-

Leaving our bench and paving filthy!

Anyway, rather than confronting her or the gardener, I bodged this together from some scrap flooring I ripped up from our bathroom (in the process of redoing).

Nothing fancy but will stop the mess hopefully...
