i cut lettuce today and its doing well this is cherokee lettuce leaves are nice size
Cherokee lettuce is a new one on me...looks very good.

I looked it up and found this: "Exceptional heat tolerance — stays sweet and resists bitterness even in warm climates"

For sure now, I have to try it...too late now but for sure this fall. 🤠

I mulched my Lilies. Covered my Potatoes with more Straw.

Picked Asparagus.

Blackberries and Strawberries are blooming.

Bad thing to is our Oak Trees are blooming too.

I was told by the Boss to quit because I’m not to be working outside with that Medication.

I’ve been in trouble not listening to the doctor before.

Ached after yesterday so took it easy, went to Battle on a couple of errands first, then planted out my leeks, cleaned up a corner of the raspberry bed, try and clear at least a little more every day. Watered.

I leveled out the left side bricks today. I need to make a couple minor adjustments but otherwise they're in place. Next I need to add some soil to that garden, plant more plants, and then work on the woodchip pathway. We've had a lot of rain lately and more on the way tonight so things may be too wet to work on this weekend.

First new potatoes today...it was a case of robbery, but I just couldn't wait any longer.

The red onions are about ready to harvest...looks like an excellent crop of those as sometimes they struggle unlike the yellows.

Harvested the red onion crop today. A windstorm came through and broke all the tops down. When that happens, they don't grow anymore and tend to die off.

These will dry in full sun for a couple of days and then processed and put in storage.

Too much, took on a bit that was very heavily weeded and removed a great pile of weeds and planted out five strawberries, now I have stiff shoulders and neck, heat pack helps. I also potted on a bunch of small tomatoes, I don't just mean seedlings, these are the little ones when full grown, and watered, hasn't rained for ages and none predicted till May; no April showers. I have emptied three of my water butts, it'll be mains water soon.
