I put some chicken pellets around the blackberry canes and the Loganberry canes, then a bit of compost around them. Yesterday i pulled up 5 sage plants that weren't doing well and today sowed some wild red poppy and corn chamomile seeds in their place.
It started to drizzle so i went in, it wasn't as nice as yesterday.

I thought Petunia seed was small I figured to plant Peppermint in pots and place them to deter pests.

They were so small I just put them in two pots once they are up transplant.

Decided my Onions and Cabbage weren’t getting enough light so I watered them and moved them.

Told my wife I need a plug in over there where I can have Light and Heat Pads.

Ordered some 6 inch pots.

Went to "stage 3" on the spring tomatoes...i.e. the last stage of up potting/conditioning before planting in the garden soil. "Stage 1" seed germination early growth, and "stage 2" up potting to windowsills for more growth.

This is my first string, and a second string/backup is still in stage 1 before moving to my stage 2.

The long range forecast shows a possible hard freeze around March 15 here. I'll plant out the first string immediately after that holding the second string at stage 3 until April 15 or all risk of frost past.

In the first string are mostly Heatmaster with four Whoppers on the left below in the red pots. The second string has more heatmasters plus @Oliver Buckle recommended black Russian, plus @Martin Mikulcik experimental variety which I'm testing out for East Texas heat tolerance.

This setup affords excellent mobility for protection if needed...just pick it up with tractor and move to protected place. The high sides on the makeshift cold frame provide wind protection and a place to cover with translucent panels if necessary. It's all repurposed materials with function over form.

Nothing going on in the garden today but some of my fridge-stratified native seeds are beginning to sprout! This is prairie rosinweed. They look a lot like native sunflowers but fall in the silphium genus. I don't have any yet so it would be great to get some established in my gardens!

My Son said I had enough wire to go around my Garden.

I was 100 foot short.

I don’t think he realized there is only 50 feet in them rolls.

Put up some fence. Stepped it off and decided 100 foot. My Son measured it and said 89 feet. Wow 11 feet.

People seem to walk off with everything. I can’t find trays. Found one in the yard.

Planted Petunia seeds and Begonia seed.

My regular garden
