In a portion where I put down sod about two years ago, I've got this particular weed/grass growing up all over.

What is it?

Also, my lawn is meant to be primarily bermuda grass, but it seems one side of my entire yard is something else. What kind of grass is this? Or am I just looking at a clusters of crab grass (I've got a lot of that too).

Ahh, interesting!

Oddly enough, I'm not sure where it could have come from. Everyone around me has bermuda with the few folks to have St. Augustine.

It can come from winds, on animals and birds. It can be a real pain.

This lawn in general has been a pain! One side of my house doesn't have gutters, so when we get torrential rains, it erodes away portions of the lawn.

I'm doing what I can to encourage the bermuda growth, but it's been an uphill battle since 2009.

We call it poanna it dies in the heat
I pull it or kill it every time I see it coming up
I spray atrazine in the fall to stop it . I might have pulled 2 clumps this year.
M s m a will burn it down once your temp hits 80

I'll hit it with something and see what happens. We've had the last two weeks with temps around or above 80, and yet they are persisting.
