Few years back we spent a week near Ramsey Canyon, AZ. in September, that is when the migrations of 18 species of Hummingbirds arrive. It was awesome. We stayed on a ranch in a cute little cottage. The large ranch house was about 100 paces from the cottage, she had 10 feeders hung on the porch each feeder had at least 10 hummers flying about for the sugar water. The noise they made, chirping and wing noise was special. The humming bird house at London Zoo used to be a favourite place. It was a large shed with planting either side and a walkway through the middle and a darkened hallway each end . Sit quietly and the birds would come out and fly freely around you.
