I planted watermelons this summer. I think I started too late in the season. Therefore, I was wondering how long does it take to grow watermelons? I would like to see if I will get a harvest.
Where do you live? If you are in the South, you should still get a harvest. They need temperatures around 80 degrees to do well and take about 75 to 95 days to mature. The little personal size melons take less time. If you live in the north, if you place black plastic around the bottom of the plants when they start coming up, it will help heat up the soil so they will grow better.
