Water issues

hi all we have a allotment in the yorkshire dales and currently use a stream to fill up 2 ibc containers which works ok but we are looking for some sort of pump that will draw water out of the stream and water the allotment directly and have some sort of regulator on the amount of water it sends out any ideas please

I have been looking at pumps to move water from one pond to another and there is a good range of solar powered water pumps. I have no actual experience yet, and the prices seem to vary hugely for no instantly obvious reason. I would be interested to hear what you find.

I’ve always used gas. But once it is coming out the other end I’m not sure but it should suck the water on through.
