This morning, as part of my cooked breakfast, I was, unfortunately, stupid enough to include a fried supermarket tomato.

Apart from the fact, which I've grown to expect, that it would lack flavour, it was, and remember this is after frying, CRISPY!!!
Now. real tomatoes are never crunchy, even when they're raw.
I'm seriously considering giving up on all tomatoes except home grown.

Round and red, but bore no more resemblance to a tomato than a snooker ball.

Haha, I've never eaten a crispy tomato, I'm sure it wasn't a nice surprise. In the past, I had liked store-bought vegetables, but then I started growing my own tomatoes, cucumbers and others and I realized how tasty they can be:love:
Unfortunately, it's still winter, so all that we can do is to wait for warmer days:(

Wintertime produce tastes like crunchy water. Seriously!

Today I bought frozen broccoli instead of fresh. This time of year I honestly do not notice much difference in taste between frozen and fresh though the fresh broccoli has a SLIGHTLY better texture! Just slightly though!
