I've been having problems with my gas/electricity supplier.
They put up my Direct debit from £130 a month to £229 in November as they said I owed them £320. This would have been done automatically by a computer, as £489 hadn't been credited to my account. If they had I'd have been £169 in credit.
They didn't answer the phone many times, nor answer any of the half a dozen e-mails they sent me over the last three months.

I cancelled the direct debit and haven't paid anything for three months.

Guess what?

They've finally got in touch with me and it's all sorted and my direct debit is now a more sensible amount.
