Can common gardening antifungals be used instead of antibiotics to prevent fungal contamination of plant protoplast cultures? If that is the case, at what doses? Since they are different substances, it can hardly be assumed that the dose of a gardening antifungal should be exactly the same as the dose of a heavy antibiotic in the protocols I have read.

It depends on the plant.

It depends on the plant.
Do you know any examples of plants on which it works? If so, what doses can what species of plant protoplast tolerate, and of which gardening chemicals?

The difference between plants are presumably in the plant's tolerance, since the unwanted fungi's tolerance is unaffected by what species of plant one voluntarily inoculates. Which are the minimum doses required for adequate protection from fungal contamination in protoplast media? If you know different minimum doses for different gardening antifungals, please let me know.
