I have been spending the last many weeks looking at robotic lawn mowers and think I have decided on Husqvarna.

I am trying to decide if I want to get a single 430x, or two of the 315x's.

The two 315's will be about $100 more than the 430, but as far as I can tell, all the other features would be about equal.

Your thoughts?

Thanks
Mark.

Smaller means better trimwork. Not sure an inch matters though. 430x vote here. The cutting area is still undersized.

Well, some pros are,
I can have them both going at the same time.
If one breaks down, I am not totally dead in the water.

Some cons,
Twice the maintenance headache,
two charging stations (not sure this is a plus or minus,)

They each come with 10 year cellular contract, after that it will cost me twice as much to maintain.

My yard is U shaped, I can envision the mower always mowing the south side and forgetting the north side.
I had one of those where the blades were offset 90 degrees but if the belt slipped they would hit each other. Had to let that design go down the road.
I have a vintage Speedex with a two blade overlapping mower attachment.

it has a chain to hold the blades 90 degrees out of phase.

It uses a belt from the horizontal motor to make a 90 degree twist to a vertical shaft on the mower. It goes through belts pretty fast.
