How many plants can I fit in a hanging basket? I think it’s about 6inch deep and 12 wide just guessing.

I think that basket is too small for a tomato--bush, cherry, or any other type. Tomatoes have a great root system and need enough soil for the roots to support the above-ground growth.

Yup, they get rather large. But I'd be willing to bet at least some fruit from one in a large basket.

I've grown "Tumbling Tom" (red) a number of times.
Your basket is ideal for one plant.
They're a nice, tasty little tomato, and you'll get a good few.
I'd still be growing them, but I slightly prefer the acid/sweet balance of "Maskotka".
