Trimming a money tree

Can I safely trim off the circled branches? It makes the pot side-heavy; I have one propped up partly on the planter right on the edge of the pic, else the whole pot can tip over if the soil dries. If so, any additional tips?

Yes make your cut where the branch is attached to the tree.

You could remove a foot or two from the top as well.

I want a tree that grows money... that's why I was curious to look to see what this was all about. XD
