I've read about the "warm gold Cotswold stone". Is this church built of it? St. Mary Magdalene is beautiful, as are all the churches you have posted.
I am wondering about the "slippery and uneven" path--rather describes the road to the nether regions . . . .

It's a Jurassic local limestone, not quite as golden as the Cotswolds stone, but the next village along is closer to it in colour.

I am wondering about the "slippery and uneven" path--rather describes the road to the nether regions . . . .

Yep, that's the path i'm on
