It's hard to watch on tv how dry many other states are right now, and here in my little part of the world that's all it seems like it can do is rain.
I planted these bush beans 18 days ago, and we have had rain every day except two days out of the 18.
My ground has excellent drainage, but the bush beans are literally standing in water, and it's starting to show. Usually, they would have been 8 more 100 feet rows planted beside the two by now.
It's getting late, so I need the weather to improve fast
Or else im not going to have the great season that I was expecting

Yea I know what you mean. Was dry as a bone, then rain chances everyday for the past 2 or 3 weeks. Luckily the rain here has come and gone just enought to let the ground dry out just enough to water it again. I had standing water for just about half a day about twice.

Send some of that water this way...we can sure use it.

Some clouds today but no water.

We have a chance to have the first nighttime temp below 80 deg in a month. Got to take your blessings where you can find them.

It happened...72 deg. f nighttime low...🥁👍😁. Incredible! A month of 80 deg nighttime lows makes one appreciate that.

It is even going to be under 100 deg. today with high of 95 deg. WOW

Jesus, thats just insane!!
I'm an ole ruff mountain man that loves farming /gardening but there's no way I could grow the amount of vegetables like I do here if Mother nature was fighting me so hard like she is, you guys.

It can be challenging. I often find it humorous when posters here complain about their growing conditions...one even said I had "Ideal" growing conditions, LOL.

I hope your weather improves and you get the crops you are after.

Same here. Like I said in the past don't complain about rain there is always the alternative.

Yesterday was the first whole day we have had sunshine since memorial day weekend.
It managed to shine most of today also but lo and behold it's raining again. Local weatherman is saying he's worried about flooding for the eastern and central parts of Kentucky the few days. I don't think I could handle another flood especially one like last year. The ground is so full of water right now, so it's not going to take much.
At least I managed to get a little bit done on my last corn planting, not much but some.

That corn looks beautiful!!
Thanks!_im starting to get worried about my earlier corn, though. This morning at the local co-extension office, they have a meeting twice a month, and he said because of all the rain, farmers are saying it's practically just falling over because the stalk is rotting at the soil level.
I went through mine and noticed 3 stalks doing the same.
I don't know if it's me or what but gardening /farming used to be a whole lot easier.
