Haven't seen tea roses in years! Went to a garden center on Saturday and spotted these in the back of the place from the parking lot and bee lined right for them like a crazy person. Seriously, the staff was giggling at me. Potted them today and they have placed around my front garden.

I've got 2 plants of root stock to bud HT roses on, just got to find how to do it. They were some suckers that i took from the roses in my garden last year.

Since the thread title is just 'Tea Roses', I'll post about a few of the original Old Tea Roses brought over from China.

Such as Rosa x 'Hume's Blush' which arrived in England in 1810.

...and Rosa x 'Park's Yellow' in 1824.

Are these really still the same cultivars more or less 200 years later? Who knows...

The first official Hybrid Tea came later: Rosa x 'La France' found in a cultivation in 1867.

Alright, history lesson over, such as it is...
