I received this paddle plant as a gift in September and it was healthy. I had it sitting by a south facing window with as much sun as possible. I tried not to over water it but I’m worried I may have. Winter came and Many of the lower leaves began drying up so I took them off. Now the plant is very tall, but lacking in leaves. Would it possibly help to cut the plant’s stalk down? And possibly propagate the top?

Put the leaves or cuttings aside for a couple of days, or until the cut end develops a callus. You can also remove offsets that grow on the side of a mature paddle plant. Plant the leaves or offsets in a small pot filled with lightly moistened potting mix for cacti and succulents
