It was a good summer but introducing new pots inside created a gnats and spider mites problem so I decided to research a pre made kit if I can find one that fits with my current setup..Here is a before and after..Will see if this works. The beauty about this kit is that it is perfect fit down to a mm. It was like pre-made to precise measurement. This kit says no pump needed but I put one anyway. Hopes this works. And at least pest is easier to control, I can just pull it out and wash if there's aphids or mites...

Why don't you keep some fish as well as their poo is very good fertiliser for the plant. @Rey you're an artist, so you know that? You might have a new set of problems using hydroponics though.. Please keep us abreast of your progress. It's lovely to see your lovely globules.

(y) Starting is tough, keeping water clean.

I hope it does not stink,

if you have to have fish, then you have to manage their eco along with this, can't add fertilizer.

That's the trouble if you keep fish. There might be a bit of smell. You're so neat and tidy, you probably will keep the bugs and pests away!

Yep, with fish you will get nitrogen cycle in water, no fertilizer (need to feed fish) but may smell.

But without fish also one need to check the water, add depleted nutrient to keep plant growing, bacterial growth may lead to odour.

this is not organic way, I add a nutrient and keeping an eye on the reserve reservoir, which sits on top. I then add a product called Hydroguard, a root inoculant..

Easy drain also, I will modify them when I get the time to connect all bottom drain together but for now, I probably replace the water every month.. I see good review on hydroguard which prevent root rot. I have the pH buffer , a pH meter and a TDS meter. I keep the PPM around 500 for now then bump it up as roots starts to grow more.. For now, seems ok..
