Sweetgum Trunk Injections

Has anyone used tree trunk injections (Sniper?) to eliminate sweetgum balls? How effective is this treatment. I have 2 sweetgums. Wife won't let me cut them down.

I have not used it myself but have gotten reports that it is effective. Liquidambar is the worlds largest weed as far as I’M concerned.

I have one sweetgum tree; the balls are great in the compost pile...they're also great for toughening up bare feet

I spoke with an arborist in my area, and he did not recommend injections -- can't guarantee it's effectiveness. He advised cutting them down, which is my desire -- if only I can convince my wife.
