How do you keep from over watering Succulents?

A grow light & a fan. Determining whether they like a water catch or don't. You can also amend their soil with sand or pea gravel, mist them with a spray bottle.

I just look at the soil and if it's starting to pull away from the pot, it needs water. In the ground, I use a moisture meter.

Put them on the shelf by the greenhouse door where I forget to water nine times out of ten. They are the only thing grows there, anything else dies for some reason

I was reading let them completely dry out then soak them good.
